Reimagining Embodiment Workshop at the CCDA Conference

November 10-13

Our communities have been separated by the social distancing needs of the pandemic and are slowly emerging from isolation. But we are not the same. This workshop explores how the pandemic has affected our bodies within the Body of Christ and offers practical tips for creating rhythms of healing, rest, and resilience.

Invite Liuan to your event!

She weaves storytelling, theology, and socio-cultural analysis to deliver talks that are soulful, informed, and approachable. She also offers embodied prayer workshops (see below).

Sample Talks

  • What Is Healing When You Don’t Get Better?
  • Becoming a Church of Wounded Healers
  • Faithfully Navigating Conventional and Alternative Medicine
  • Women: Uniquely Vulnerable to Pain, Uniquely Permeable to God
  • Connecting with God through our Bodies

Embodied Prayer Workshops

These 1-2 hour workshops connect participants to how God is present in their bodies.

Through a combination of gentle breathing exercises and guided movement (including some yoga poses – accessible to all abilities) Liuan guides participants to pay attention to what our bodies are saying, and use that information to process our experiences.

Contact Liuan to inquire about hosting an embodied prayer workshop as part of your church or small group retreat.
